Bundee Aki is sticking around! The IRFU has confirmed that the Ireland and Connacht centre has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him in Galway until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Aki made his Ireland debut against South Africa back in 2017 and has since been a midfield powerhouse. With 60 Test caps, he’s been a fixture in green, recently starring in three of Ireland’s Autumn Nations Series clashes at Aviva Stadium.
Rumours squashed: No Bristol move
Despite links to Bristol Bears, Aki’s commitment to Connacht remains rock solid. The 33-year-old has helped Ireland to three Guinness Six Nations titles, including two Grand Slams, and was a 2023 nominee for the World Rugby Men’s XVs Player of the Year.
Connacht’s cornerstone
Since arriving in 2014, Aki has been a legend in Connacht colours, with 142 appearances and a standout role in their Pro12 title triumph in 2016. His re-signing is a massive boost for Connacht head coach Peter Wilkins, who continues to build a competitive squad out West.
