The Parisians, who splashed the cash this summer to bring in England skipper Owen Farrell, are stuck in eighth place in the Top 14. With just five wins in 11 games, it’s a poor return for one of the league’s highest spenders.
“Lanny wants out” – Andy Goode spills the tea
Speaking on The Rugby Pod, Andy Goode didn’t hold back:
“I’m hearing Lanny wants out or they want him out. Apparently, the French lads are not happy with Stuart Lancaster whatsoever.
“You know how fickle it is over there. When Jacky Lorenzetti [Racing’s owner] can call out one of the best players in the world, Siya Kolisi, saying he’s put on weight, and Kolisi ends up heading back to the Sharks… it’s chaos.”
“The easiest thing to do when things go wrong in France is blame the non-French guys. Lanny is under some heat. I’ve even heard he’s put his name in the hat for Munster.”
A Lions lifeline?
Lancaster’s options might not be limited to Munster. RUCK understands he’s also a leading contender to join Andy Farrell’s coaching team for the 2025 British & Irish Lions tour.
