However, despite being a talisman for his country and winning selection for the 2013 Lions tour, he left the North-West for Castres a year later after failing to make an impact.”
RUCK verdict: “This signing had every Sale fan very excited with the Scottish powerhouse penning a three-year contract. However, the giant Scot would only stay for one season, playing 16 underwhelming matches, scoring one try before joining French club Castres. Never had such a big man, done so little.”
