Lawrence Dallaglio (No 8): “The best bit about the 2003 World Cup as a team was the hour we had together in each other’s company in the changing room immediately after the final whistle. Because that England team took six years to create and six hours to break up. That England team was never going to be the same ever again after that moment. There were all sorts of emotions in that hour together, people laughing, crying… that to me was the highlight of the tournament itself. No distractions, no hangers-on, no one else, just there as a group.”
