Sam Underhill and Jack Nowell have been ruled out of England’s crucial Six Nations clash with France after sustaining injuries in training.
Boss Eddie Jones has been dealt a huge blow with both players expected to play a big part in the Paris clash.
Captain Dylan Hartley is also a doubt due to a leg muscle problem, forwards coach Steve Borthwick revealed.
Borthwick revealed Hartley is struggling with muscle tightness in his leg, while Underhill and Nowell have been afflicted by respective toe and ankle injuries which they suffered in training.
Hartley, England’s captain throughout Jones’ reign, is being monitored on a daily basis ahead of Thursday’s team announcement.

Nowell will also miss the climax to the tournament against Ireland on Saturday week but Underhill could be back for the potential showdown with Ireland.
England travel to France off the back of last month’s 25-13 defeat to Scotland.
