England head coach Steve Borthwick has cancelled warm-weather camps as he continues to overhaul how the international side operates.
Had Eddie Jones still been in charge of England, the squad would be heading to Portugal for a warm-weather training camp last week.
“I have changed the Six Nations plans. The plan was due to be overseas a few times in the Six Nations – we are going to be in England. We are going to be working,” he said.
“I am not saying anything about previous plans, but I am saying, ‘What do we need to do?’ We need to get on the training field, we need to start building some relationships on the training field, we need to start building how we are going to play and build the team we want.
“I keep things pretty simple, I like a tight group of people around the team and making plans for the team as simple as possible to give the players the best chance to bring their strengths on to the pitch.
“We are going to come into camp and start training straightaway to build this team.”
