It has been a tough morning for fans of Les Bleus. Following on from the news that star fly half Romain Ntamack will miss the Rugby World Cup with an ACL injury, prop Cyril Baille has been side-lined for an expected five to six weeks with a reported calf injury.
The France Rugby Federation confirmed the loss of the front-rower, which will see the prop ruled out of action for the remainder of France’s Summer Nations Series matches. His place is also in doubt for France’s seismic Rugby World Cup opener against the All Blacks on Friday September 8th.
Baille reportedly sustained a calf injury in last weekend’s narrow victory over Scotland, with his expected time on the side-lines overlapping with the start of the home-soil tournament. The Toulouse man has achieved 44-caps for his country, yet joins his fellow club and country teammate Ntamack on the injury list ahead of the upcoming competition.
